When president Xi visits France, a sense of celebration will be in the air
On Jan 27, 1964, China and France announced they were forging diplomatic relations. France thus became the first major Western power to formally establish diplomatic ties with China at ambassadorial level. As the two countries celebrate the golden jubilee of those ties, Xinhua News Agency presents a pictorial look at a relationship built on mutual respect and friendship.
