Typhoon Hato brings strong winds, rain as it lands in South China

Hato, the 13th typhoon this year landed in southern Zhuhai, Guangdong province, around 12:50 pm Wednesday, bringing gales of 45 meters per second at its eye.
The China Southern Airlines plans to cancel 106 flights in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Hong Kong. Guangdong railway authorities will suspend some trains due to situations.
Because of the typhoon, the shuttle buses to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport have stopped running. Until 12:00 pm, nine flights have been delayed for over one hour at the airport.
