New N China training base promotes qigong for health

The International Health Qigong Federation has set up its first talent training base at Baoding University in Hebei province.
The federation, launched in 2012 and headquartered in Beijing, is an association with 98 member organizations from across the world. Led by the General Administration of Sports in China, the federation promotes health qigong worldwide with 6.5 million practitioners.
Chang Jianping, secretary-general of the federation, said the first training base will be a new beginning for the federation to train more professionals to better promote the traditional culture and improve people’s health.
Located close to Xiongan New Area, Baoding University has pilot programs in areas such as new media education and traditional sports.
