4.7-magnitude quake hits waters off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 4.7-magnitude earthquake jolted waters off Pingtung county, Taiwan, at 12:06 pm Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 20.96 degrees north latitude and 120.74 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 30 km, the center said in a statement.
