Chinese volleyball player Du joins Thailand's Diamond Food
BANGKOK -- Chinese women's national volleyball team player Du Qingqing arrived here on Tuesday, set to join the Diamond Food club in Thailand's volleyball league.
Du was greeted at the airport by her national teammate Zheng Yixin, who has moved to the Diamond Food team earlier. Du and Zheng has previously played side by side at Tianjin Bohai Bank and Guangdong Evergrande in the Chinese volleyball league.
The 24-year-old Du is a versatile player, able to play either as an opposite or outside hitter. Du has been a regular member of the Chinese national team since 2019.
Four Chinese national team players now ply their trade in Thailand's volleyball league. Apart from Du and Zheng, opposite Zhang Xiaoya and middle blocker Sun Jie play for Generali Supreme.
