China prosecutes 5,565 people for harming epidemic control in H1

BEIJING -- A total of 5,565 people were prosecuted in the first half of this year for harming epidemic prevention and control, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).
They were largely involved in crimes of producing and selling fake products for epidemic prevention and price gouging, according to the SPP.
Such crimes, plus crimes against medical professionals, were primarily targeted in joint campaigns by the SPP and several other departments.
