Core technology fuels CNNC's high-quality growth

During a news conference on Wednesday hosted by the Nuclear Power Institute of China, a subsidiary of CNNC, experts talked about the development of their cutting-edge nuclear technologies including Hualong One and Linglong One.

Hualong One, or HPR 1000, is a third-generation nuclear reactor with proprietary intellectual property rights. Featuring million-kilowatt pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power technology and global top safety standards, HPR 1000 was first built at the Fuqing nuclear power station in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, and is expected to have fuel loading at unit 5 in the near term and grid-connected power generation by the end of this year.
