Guideline stimulates private enterprises

China on Friday unveiled a new guideline designed to support private enterprises' reform and development as well as transformation and upgrading. Released by the National Development and Reform Commission and five other central departments, the guideline aims to cushion the COVID-19 impact, further stimulate the private sector vitality and creativity, create a better business environment and create more jobs. The document said China will further ease the market access for private enterprises and open the energy conservation and environmental protection businesses in the fields of oil, chemicals, electricity and natural gas to them.

Retail prices of diesel, gasoline hiked

China has raised the retail prices of gasoline and diesel from Friday. Based on the recent changes in international oil prices, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel will go up by 80 yuan ($12) and 70 yuan per metric ton respectively, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.

Beijing's foreign trade up in Sept

Beijing Municipality saw its foreign trade grow by 5.6 percent on a monthly basis to 209.5 billion yuan ($31.45 billion) in September, the fourth consecutive month of growth, Customs data showed. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the total import and export volume of Beijing fell below 200 billion yuan in April this year. However, as the economy warmed up, the city's foreign trade has also gathered steam.

Shandong to boost digital industry

East China's Shandong province plans to ramp up efforts to bring its digital economy to a world-class level by 2030. The province aims to foster innovative enterprises and industrial clusters in Jinan and build it into a national leading technology center in computing power, arithmetic, and algorithms based on its advantages in computing power infrastructure. Jinan has attracted 56.6 billion yuan ($8.4 billion) in investment, covering 68 projects in 12 categories to expand its digital industrial scale.
