ABB

ABB is launching its HoverGuard UAV-based natural gas leak detection solution at the 2020 CIIE. The third CIIE will be the global debut for the solution. HoverGuard delivers a fast, precise and efficient examination for gas pipeline networks, safeguarding gas infrastructure with innovative digital technology.

Similar to an "air, sea and land patrol inspector", the natural gas leak detection solution leverages ABB's patented laser-based technology, proven detection algorithm and the precise positioning service provided by Beidou Navigation Satellite System, achieving ultra-high detection sensitivity and positioning accuracy. So far, ABB has developed UAV-based, vehicle-based, portable and stationary gas leak detection systems. The complete solution makes it possible to find leaks throughout the entire natural gas infrastructure with far higher reliability and speed than ever before. The key to the solution's success combines leading-edge, cyber-secure measurement technology with advanced data analytics.

Launched at the 2019 CIIE, the vehicle-based system has been deployed in many cities in China. It has contributed to the reliable operation of gas pipeline networks during the COVID-19 pandemic. To meet customer needs, ABB upgraded the solution and launched the UAV-based solution which can detect natural gas leaks around hard-to-reach areas such as bridges, high-rise buildings, areas with right-of-way restrictions or vegetation coverage, and pipelines.

Epson

It's the first time Epson is taking part in the CIIE. The company's demonstration focuses on four major innovation fields of inkjet printing, vision, wearable products and robots.

It's presenting an innovative paper-recycling and environmental office solution known as PaperLab to the Asian market for the first time. The system can recreate paper with virtually no water from start to finish.

Novozymes

Novozymes is hosting the global launch of its new enzymes named Fiberlife at the 2020 CIIE. The launch will introduce a new biological solution for sustainable development in technical industries such as textile and dyeing. It will also lead the fashion industry's movement to "go green".

The enzymes treat the garment by cutting off loose fibers, giving it cleaner surface and lower degree of pilling, improving the shine and silk look, drape and hand feel of the various plant-based fibers. Fiberlife has also improved wear-and-wash durability and sustainability, which protects clothes from pilling and over-washing. Additionally, Fiberlife has opened more doors for the making of clothes, giving manufacturers more options in the process, and creating new ideas for fabric development.
