New book opens a new chapter in speech delivery
A new book Zhang Kong Yan Jiang (How to Control Your Speech) was launched in Beijing on Sunday.
Written by Chen Fei, vice-president of Speech Association of Hubei Province, the book illustrates how to improve skills and train mindset for delivering speeches. Readers can learn how to overcome nervousness, establish thinking pattern, summarize core ideas and reach out to the audience.
Chen started to write this book during the outbreak of COVID-19 last year, and tutored some people who made contributions to fighting against the pandemic to deliver speeches.
"Although most of us are ordinary people, each of us has our highlight moments. So we need to learn how to make speeches, better communicate with others, spread our thoughts and tell our stories to people," said Chen.
"I believe controlling our speeches is like taking hold of key moments in our lives, so that we can take hold of our lives," she added.
