9th China Peking Opera Art Festival to open in Beijing

The Ninth China?Peking Opera Art Festival, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, will take place in Beijing from Sept 21 to Oct 15.

This year the festival will include 23 Peking Opera stage performances, four performances of selected scenes, and 10 online screenings, presented by 41 troupes from around China.

The premiere will take place at the National Center for the Performing Arts on Sept 21, with a livestreamed performance of the Peking Opera symphonic suite Grand Canal of Beijing City.
