University secretary removed from post in Jilin

Zhang Lifeng, Party secretary of Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology University has been removed from his position, according to a statement released by the local government on Thursday.
The city reported 134 new locally transmitted confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 149 asymptomatic cases on Wednesday and cluster infections have occurred in the university, China Central Television reported.
An aerial video from CCTV News showed 30 buses were gathered outside the university on Thursday afternoon to transport students who were close contacts of confirmed cases.
