Taiwan's 'referendum' on lowering voting age fails to pass

TAIPEI -- Taiwan held a so-called referendum on the "constitution amendment" to lower the age of voting right to 18 on Saturday.
The so-called referendum failed to pass as the number of yes vote did not reach the threshold of adoption, according to the island's election affairs authority.
