Bali Tourism Board launches China platform
In April 2023, the Bali Tourism Board of the Republic of Indonesia signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CITS Overseas Economic Cooperation Co Ltd to set up a Bali Tourism China representative office in Beijing.
The agreement authorizes CITS Overseas Economic Cooperation Co Ltd to be the exclusive operator of the Bali Tourism Board's new media business in China, responsible for new media operations on platforms in China such as Douyin, Toutiao and Little Red Book. The company will promote and display Bali's tourism destinations to Chinese patrons and provide the latest information and guides for natural scenery, cultural landscapes, local culture and ethnic customs.
CITS Overseas Economic Cooperation Co Ltd was established in 1994 and is affiliated with the former CITS Group. The company is committed to overseas tourism investment, international conferences and exhibitions, and the development of international cultural and tourism projects, as well as the reserve and cultivation of tourism talents. The company's clientele includes many well-known domestic and foreign enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies.
In 1994, CITS Overseas Economic Cooperation Co Ltd invested in the establishment of the CITS Group Tourism Labor Training Center. The center, the only national institution with educational qualifications in China's tourism industry, has become a leading enterprise in China's tourism vocational education after nearly 30 years of development.
The center has participated in the formulation of multiple Chinese tourism vocational standards and published and distributed multiple vocational skill assessment textbooks. Additionally, the center has a close relationship with cultural and tourism bureaus in various provinces and cities across the country.
Wu Fan, head of the China Representative Office of the Bali Tourism Board of Indonesia and chairman of CITS Overseas Economic Cooperation, said in an interview the launch of the social media accounts marks the all-around development of China's new media business. In the future, the board will collaborate with CITS Overseas to create a comprehensive new media matrix. At the same time, it will also work with multiple leading tourism enterprises to provide more precise and in-depth services to Chinese enterprises and tourists.
The China representative office of the board will soon hold a series of tourism promotion meetings and cultural exchange forums. Through these activities, they aim to enhance friendly exchanges between the two peoples and bridge the gap between Chinese tourists and Bali.
