Vivo fights market decline with new model S17 series
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo unveiled its latest model S17 series to attract photograph enthusiasts, in its latest push to expand presence amid intensified competitions.
The S17 series boasts an enhanced camera system, high-quality display and powerful performance. Additionally, the devices come with an impressive battery life, enabling users to stay connected all day, Vivo said.
The move came as China's smartphone market sales decreased 11.8 percent year-on-year to 65.4 million units in the first quarter, according to the market research company International Data Corp. Vivo was the third largest smartphone vendor in the quarter.
The S17 series is also the latest push by Vivo to defy a market decline to seek for growth in the upcoming summer holiday season.
