The 2023 International Young Scientists Conference on Advanced Manufacturing attracted global attention to Shaoxing, Zhejiang province on July 30.

The opening ceremony was attended by overseas experts including ?mer Sahin Ganiyusufoglu, an academician of the German National Academy of Engineering, domestic experts and scholars from various universities across China, and representatives of manufacturing-related companies.

During the opening ceremony, several lists were released such as the Emerald Global Advanced Manufacturing Field High Influence Scholars List and the China Automation Society's Annual Innovation Demonstration Unit List for the Advanced Manufacturing Industry, as well as the Emerald Global Outstanding Award, and the Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing and Special Equipment's Global Young Scientists Award for Advanced Manufacturing.

Five academic activities with themes such as aerospace extreme processing technology methods were held simultaneously with three sideline activities including an advanced manufacturing young entrepreneur forum.

During the conference, contracts were signed for 12 projects covering fields such as high-end equipment, intelligent vision, biopharmaceuticals, and new materials.

Wen Nuan, Party secretary of Shaoxing, welcomed all attendees at the conference. He said that advanced manufacturing represents the direction of manufacturing industry development.

He suggested that Shaoxing will take this conference as an opportunity to develop first-class industrial clusters, implement more effective talent policies, and work together to create a first-class development environment.

He said he looks forward to everyone visiting Shaoxing for sightseeing and inspection, cooperation and negotiation, investment and entrepreneurship. Together they can build a new highland for advanced manufacturing and jointly compose a new chapter of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
