Electricity supply secured by State Grid's efforts in Gansu

On Tuesday, staff members from State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company in Gansu province carried out live-line operations to ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply.

To ensure the stable operation of the power grid during high temperatures, the company has strengthened the inspection and temperature measurement at various substations and distribution lines. They have realized the live-line operations with distribution network fault elimination and business expansion installations, which has greatly expanded the scope and frequency of live-line operations. For overloaded lines and substations, inspection personnel will also enhance the investigation of the heating parts. Based on the dynamic data, they will analyze equipment operation status, promptly eliminate safety hazards, and make every effort to ensure the healthy and stable operation of the line's equipment.

The company is also taking various measures to serve the development of enterprises. They pay visits to enterprises to inquire about their electricity needs, listen to their opinions and suggestions, conduct on-site investigations for the electricity equipment, and guide them in using electricity reasonably and scientifically. They focus on inspecting customers' power configurations, distribution facilities and issue defect rectification notices upon discovering issues. After learning about the current production and operation status, investment plans, and electricity needs of enterprises, the staff members guide them in optimizing electricity plans and encourage the use of energy-saving equipment.

As of now, the company has conducted live-line operations on 50 occasions. This includes 10 instances of live-line pole installations for new customers, 14 instances of live-line emergency repairs, and 26 instances of lead wire installation and defect elimination of substations.
