State Grid Taizhou Jiaojiang District Power Supply Company: Focusing on the energy consumption side, adding impetus for enterprises

On September 19, the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power (Jiaojiang) Red Boat Communist Party Member Service Team walked into Zhejiang Crystal-Optech Co Ltd. Focusing on solving problems for enterprises and doing practical things for the masses, they "checked and diagnosed" the main transformer and power distribution equipment, carried out one-stop power consumption services such as energy efficiency diagnosis and feedback, and accurately served the new power consumption needs in the process of "intelligent" upgrading of enterprises.

Under the background of "dual carbon," new energy is developing rapidly, and green and low-carbon transformation has become the consensus of enterprise development. In September 2023, the enterprise purchased 70,000 green certificates for the first time and completed the largest single green certificate transaction in the provincial comprehensive system. This year, the purchase of green electricity has also been put on the agenda, and initially, 70 million kWh of green electricity has been purchased.

"Through green certificates and green electricity transactions, reducing carbon emissions throughout the product life cycle can better help us develop overseas markets." Wang Jiang, director of the public works department of Zhejiang Crystal-Optech Co Ltd said.

"We actively promoted the transaction of green (power) certificates. Since last year (2023), we have traded more than 75,000 green certificates. As of 2024, we have assisted Taizhou enterprises with a total of 65,000 (green certificates). The increase in enterprises' demand for green certificates helps enterprises enhance their international market competitiveness and expand more overseas customers," said Cai Qingxi, chairman of State Grid (Taizhou) Comprehensive Energy Service Co Ltd.

Green electricity and green certificate consumption have gradually become a "standard configuration" for most export-oriented enterprises and are one of the important measures to reduce enterprise carbon emissions.
