To optimize the business environment in the electricity market, State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company in Zhejiang province has taken steps this year under the framework of the "e-enterprise boost" electricity assistance program, to reduce costs and increase efficiency for enterprises.

With the implementation of the peak and off-peak electricity price adjustment plan in 2024, the power supply company has been cooperating with major enterprises to provide them with better services and deliver advanced technology, thereby assisting companies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

“The power supply company is so thoughtful. After the new electricity price policy was introduced, staff members came to explain it to us. Based on our electricity bills and production situation, and after adjusting our production plans according to the latest peak and off-peak time periods, we expect to save nearly 30,000 yuan ($4,233) in electricity costs next month," a staff member from Newton Fluid Technology said.

The staff members from State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company visited the company's workshops to have a better understanding of their production capacity and to provide the company with the "e-enterprise boost" electricity assistance service manual.

Additionally, staff members also conducted on-site inspections of enterprise electrical lines and equipment to identify potential hazards, proposed corrective measures for issues found and provided companies with reliable electricity supply. As of last Friday, State Grid Wenzhou Power Supply Company has visited a total of 762 businesses.

Meanwhile, the customer electricity usage optimization proposal analyzes user data from eight aspects, including peak and off-peak electricity prices, capacity demand execution and transformer economic operations and provides optimization suggestions. So far, the power supply company has customized electricity usage optimization proposals for 863 companies.

As the electricity market reform progresses, more electricity users are engaging in market-based transactions. The company conducts surveys and visits to listen to customers and offer suggestions to accurately address their needs and help them overcome difficulties.

Since the beginning of this year, more than 1,800 commercial and industrial users in the Wenzhou area have accepted the new pricing service. In the future, the company plans to promote market-based electricity trading through activities in industrial parks and enterprises via various online and offline channels for promotion.
