Ningxia has been invited to participate in the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Dec 2 to 13.
During the conference, Ningxia will highlight its achievements in desertification control through specialized reports, video presentations, and product tastings.
Ningxia will also host a side event titled "Promoting Green and Prosperous Development in Ecologically Fragile Areas" and engage with representatives from the UNCCD, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and the World Bank to discuss sustainable development pathways.
Ningxia has in recent years been using its unique resources to develop distinctive industries such as goji berries, wine, and photovoltaics. These efforts have paved the way for sustainable and prosperous development.
