Roborock launches world's first vacuum cleaner equipped with a robotic arm

Chinese smart cleaning appliance manufacturer Roborock unveiled the world's first vacuum cleaner equipped with a robotic arm at the ongoing 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in the US city of Las Vegas.

The G30 Space robot vacuum cleaner features five joints, allowing it to deftly move obstacles such as shoes in the cleaning process.

Powered by artificial intelligence technologies, the cleaner is capable of recognizing scattered items and calculating the optimal grab position before sorting them into storage areas, its developer said.

Equipped with dual cameras — one at the mechanical arm's end and one on the body — the robot also enables high and low-angle video calls and smart control for retrieving objects.

Roborock's vacuum cleaners have witnessed explosive growth in foreign market. During last Black Friday sales, its sales surged 443 percent year-on-year in Australia and 330 percent in North America, respectively, the company said.

"The reason why our products are favored by overseas customers once they enter foreign markets is that they are more intelligent and advanced," said Quan Gang, president of Roborock, adding that the company will continue to meet the strong global demand for multifunctional cleaning devices through technological innovation.

In addition to Roborock, Chinese tech companies such as Appotronics, Ninebot and Espressif Systems also released their latest products and solutions at this year's CES, covering a wide range of sectors including AI, chip technology, automotive mobility, home appliances, and wearable devices.

Chinese tech companies have become a major presence at the world's premier tech show. According to data from US trade association Consumer Technology Association, this year's CES is expected to attract over 130,000 attendees, with a historic high of more than 1,300 Chinese exhibitors.
