State Grid Jiaxing boosts green development with power and efficiency services
The State Grid Jiaxing Power Supply Company recently conducted metering and power connection work on a user-side energy storage project at Freetech Intelligent Systems Co Ltd in Tongxiang city, Zhejiang province, adding new momentum to the company's sustainable green development.
The newly installed energy storage project has a capacity of 300-kilowatts, and is expected to discharge 383,100 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually once operational, saving the company over 170,000 yuan ($23,496.7) in electricity costs each year.
To ensure the project's smooth implementation, Jiaxing Power Supply Company appointed a "chief service officer" to oversee the process. The company worked closely with Freetech to assess load requirements and align services with local industrial development needs. Through proactive engagement, Jiaxing Power Supply Company has strengthened its expertise in electricity supply and energy efficiency, establishing a service model that anticipates user demands, provides immediate assistance and ensures efficient execution.

Beyond metering and power connection, Jiaxing Power Supply Company also provided tailored recommendations to optimize Freetech's electricity usage and improve energy efficiency. The company offered one-on-one safety guidance and technical support, while also assisting with inspections of photovoltaic rooftop components. These inspections included evaluating system performance and checking the placement, angle and cleanliness of solar panels to maximize energy generation.
Against the backdrop of China's "dual carbon" goals, green development is no longer an option but a necessity. As China's third-largest independent supplier of intelligent driving technology and a major electricity consumer, Freetech has an increasing demand for green transformation and cost reduction.
In 2022, the company completed the construction of a rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project with an installed capacity of 844.02 kW. To date, the system has generated 2.34 million kWh of electricity, saving Freetech over 1.3 million yuan in energy costs while significantly reducing carbon emissions and enhancing operational efficiency.
