Market supervision team joins hands with State Grid's measurement center

Xie Zhongliang, deputy head of the market supervision and administration bureau of Yuecheng district, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, led a team on a visit to the measurement center of the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company on April 7, aiming to strengthen the supervision of electricity meters and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

The measurement center attached great importance to this visit and made necessary preparations. The head of the center introduced its general operation, the construction and operation of the measurement management system, including the establishment of measurement standards, the calibration process of measuring instruments, quality control, personnel qualifications and training to the research team.

Subsequently, the research team went into the laboratories and warehouses, carefully examining the equipment, usage and maintenance of various measurement standards in the laboratory. They checked whether the instruments were within the calibration period and whether they had valid calibration certificates, and also inspected the qualifications and operation of the calibration personnel. The calibration personnel were required to strictly follow the national measurement calibration procedures to ensure the accuracy and fairness of the calibration results.

In the warehouse, the research team randomly inspected the inventory of measuring instruments, verified the information such as model, specifications and quantity of the instruments, checked whether the storage environment met the requirements, and whether there were any damaged or expired instruments awaiting calibration.

During the research process, the bureau affirmed the work of the measurement center while also providing valuable suggestions. They hoped that the center would further strengthen the daily management of measuring instruments, strictly control the temperature and humidity in the laboratory, improve the efficiency and accuracy of instrument calibration and better serve users.

Taking this inspection as an opportunity to implement the suggestions put forward by the team, the center said it will continue to improve measurement management work, enhance measurement technical levels and make greater contributions to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of electricity measurement.
