Recently, the Xiakou Power Supply Station of State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company has successfully adopted the enhanced airborne Beidou satellite positioning module to realize the autonomous flight patrols of the distribution network lines in the Baishuikeng Reservoir area of Quzhou, Zhejiang province. This area is located at the junction of Zhejiang, Fujian and Jiangxi provinces and has no public communication network coverage. This is just a microcosm of the company's efforts to promote the quality - and - efficiency improvement of grassroots teams with small investment and great effectiveness by making full use of "off-the-shelf equipment" and "mature technologies".

Currently, conventional autonomous drone inspections rely on a high-quality public wireless communication network environment. At the same time, it is necessary to add a ground RTK base station to reinforce the positioning information. The coverage area is limited, and the work process is not very user-friendly. Because of the characteristics of a large number of mountainous and hilly terrains within its jurisdiction, State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company has installed a Beidou satellite dual-frequency carrier phase enhancement service receiving terminal on existing drones. This enables centimeter-level positioning of drones without a ground RTK base station, greatly expanding the coverage area of autonomous drone inspections, simplifying the inspection process, and significantly improving the work efficiency of grassroots teams.

Similarly, in terms of the short-term management of voltage quality, State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company has utilized the existing medium-voltage emergency power supply vehicles. At the end of the 10-kilovolt lines, the method of synchronous grid connection is adopted to stabilize and reinforce the voltage at the ends of the distribution network lines where the power supply radius exceeds the limit under special operation modes. Fully leveraging the characteristics of the medium-voltage emergency power supply vehicles, such as flexible deployment, maturity, and reliability, by dynamically adjusting the power factor and output of the power supply vehicles and optimizing the startup and shutdown strategies of the units, the voltage at the end of the line has been increased from 9.1 kilovolts to 9.8 kilovolts and has always been maintained within the normal range, with obvious reinforcement results. This not only verifies the new application of the medium-voltage emergency power supply but also provides a brand-new train of thought and a successful case that can be used for reference and replication for subsequent similar power quality management and power supply guarantee work.
