State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company puts into operation intelligent microgrid management system

On April 15, the State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company, in collaboration with Jiangsu JinYi United Manufacturing Co Ltd, successfully put into operation an intelligent microgrid management system in its No 1 Park, assisting the enterprise in achieving the consumption of distributed new energy sources.

Since 2024, the State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company has installed two sets of electrochemical energy storage devices, one set of electric thermal storage system, and 10 V2G (vehicle-to-grid) charging piles within the enterprise park, making every effort to establish a diversified complementary operation mode that covers photovoltaic power generation, new energy storage, molten salt thermal storage boilers, vehicle-grid interaction, and the park's energy management system. In addition, the State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company has successfully carried out a trial operation of the intelligent microgrid management system in the park and connected it to the company's new load management system. The power grid dispatching system can directly issue dispatching instructions to the management system of the enterprise park, enabling the enterprise's load to promptly respond to the grid load adjustment requirements.

After the intelligent microgrid system was completed, the local consumption rate of new energy in the park increased to 95 percent, and the annual energy consumption cost fell by more than 10 percent. The maximum adjustable capacity that can be supplied is over 500 kilowatts, providing important flexible adjustment resources for ensuring power grid supply and promoting the consumption of new energy.
