China strives to enhance people's work ethics
China will further improve people's work ethics to enhance the public morality quality and show advancement of social civilization.
Ten central departments including the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently released a guideline focusing on improving people's work ethics in the new era, by combining Chinese traditional virtues with modern professional morality.
The guideline said that work ethics in the new era mainly include hard work, honesty, upholding justice, and warmth at work. It said that good practices of work ethics will be rewarded while behaviors of breaching work ethics will be denounced.
Under the guideline, knowledge of work ethics should be available to students during their whole-process of schooling, which can help the students to set up correct views of work, profession and employment.
The nation will reward individuals and groups with good practices of work ethics and set them as examples to inspire the public. Also, the nation will improve the regulations and laws on work ethics and better the social environment to promote work ethics.
