State Grid inspections ensure safe power supply ahead of peak season

In order to ensure the reliability of the power supply, State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company conducted acceptance inspections on the recently repaired No 1 main transformer at the 500 kilovolt Gueyue Substation located in Zhenghaizha village, Keqiao district, Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province on April 21.

Not long ago, the province's largest and most extensive 500 kV intelligent substation, the Chunhui Substation, which is located by the Cao'e River, had just completed its annual spring inspection.

As temperatures rise, in order to better cope with peak summer electricity demand, State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company has planned ahead and initiated simultaneous progress in the spring inspections of two 500 kV hub substations. Prior to the arrival of the summer peak electricity demand in June, according to the plan, Shaoxing city needs to complete comprehensive maintenance on 40 substations above 35 kV level, annual maintenance on 36 lines and the renewal of equipment at 37 substations.

State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company, with the core principle of "lean maintenance, reliable operation," has overcome heavy engineering tasks, tight deadlines and construction challenges. They systematically advance comprehensive substation maintenance, digital transformation of equipment and fine management of specific hidden dangers, making every effort to ensure that the maintenance work is completed on time.
