Visteon, ByteDance launch AI-powered smart cockpit solution

Visteon, a global leader in automotive electronics, and China's Volcano Engine, the cloud service platform under ByteDance, unveiled a cutting-edge AI-powered smart cockpit solution on Wednesday at Auto Shanghai 2025.

Integrating Visteon's high-performance domain controller with Volcano Engine's Doubao large language model, the joint innovation redefines in-vehicle user experience and paves the way for smarter, more personalized mobility.

The cooperation comes as vehicles become increasingly intelligent and connected, consumer expectations have evolved toward more immersive, emotional, and seamless human-machine interactions.

The new solution leverages two core innovations—edge-cloud collaboration and multimodal interaction—to deliver responsive, low-latency, and emotionally aware AI services across diverse driving scenarios.

Also, the modular AI framework enables fast and cost-efficient deployment across vehicle platforms.

Carmakers can embed their brand identity through custom knowledge graphs and co-create intelligent scenarios powered by Doubao's large language model, said the companies.
