Beijing district ready to help global enterprises, including the Netherlands' firms

Beijing's Chaoyang district stands ready to provide the best possible services to global enterprises that aspire to expand into the Chinese market, including businesses from the Netherlands, local authorities said during a China-Netherlands enterprise roundtable.

The key objective of the roundtable is to create a platform that enables Chinese and the Netherlands' enterprises to connect, share insights, and deepen collaboration in the financial sector, digital economy, and cultural and creative industry, said Wu Xiaojie, the district head, on Tuesday.

As of March, Chaoyang is home to a total of 10,332 foreign-invested enterprises, including more than 100 companies from the Netherlands, according to Wu.

Wu noted that Chaoyang district is committed to creating an environment that enables global businesses to thrive and is willing to go the extra mile in supporting enterprises looking to tap into the Chinese market.

Huub Buise, minister counsellor for Economy and Trade at the Netherlands embassy in China, said that the Netherlands' enterprises place great importance on the Chinese market and are eager to strengthen collaboration with the district through this platform to facilitate the delivery of more projects.

Antoine Bruneel, president of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, expressed willingness to further establish a cooperative partnership with Chaoyang district to help the Netherlands' enterprises establish a stronger foothold in the district.

Going forward, Chaoyang district and enterprises from the Netherlands have committed to putting in place a regular communication mechanism to continuously unlock their cooperation potential, according to the district authorities.
