China's political advisors meet on economic system reform, advancement of Chinese modernization
BEIJING -- The 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, on Tuesday held a standing committee meeting, discussing topics concerning economic system reform and the advancement of Chinese modernization.
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, was in attendance. During the meeting, 14 members of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee shared their views.
Yi Gang proposed the deepened reform of the financial system, strengthened financial support for the private economy and sci-tech innovation, and the provision of a high-quality financial supply for green and low-carbon development.
Li Yao said that it is necessary to strengthen investment and financing support, expand new forms of trade in services, and promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation.
Hong Huimin highlighted the need for proactive responses and the importance of taking the initiative to promote the steady improvement of foreign investment and trade.
