Transportation services in Guangdong province, particularly trains and expressways, were greatly affected as Typhoon Tapah made landfall in the province's western coastal area on Monday morning.
Tapah, the 16th typhoon this year, made landfall in Taishan, a county-level city in Jiangmen, Guangdong, at about 8:50 am Monday, according to the provincial meteorological observatory.
