Mooncake gift sets launched to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, a number of cafes and hotels have launched distinctive mooncake gift boxes to mark the occasion.

Starbucks has introduced two mooncake gift sets featuring five flavors, each symbolizing a scene of reunion. Among them, the dark chocolate, golden roast coffee mooncake stands out, made with golden roast espresso beans that carry bright, citrus-like aromas. Combined with 57-percent Belgian dark chocolate, it offers a smooth, rich taste with a lingering sweetness.

NUO Hotel Beijing has released three Chinese-style gift boxes designed to convey festive greetings. A highlight is the Blue and White Porcelain Mooncake Box, decorated with mountain patterns in traditional motifs, echoing the porcelain vases in the hotel's lobby under the moonlight. Flavors include lotus seed paste with salted egg yolk, red date paste, and red bean paste.

InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun has launched the Zi Yao Ying Yue(Purple Radiance Under the Moon) mooncake gift box, combining Eastern-inspired design with contemporary elements. The box is decorated with golden serpent patterns that shimmer under changing light, while a gold bead ornament at the center opens to reveal a hidden surprise. Each set comes with an exclusively designed handcrafted figure.
