Wuhan opens China's first humanoid robot 7S store
China's first humanoid robot 7S store opened on Nov 11 in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC). This groundbreaking store will serve as a showcase for the humanoid robot industry in Hubei, connecting the entire chain, from research and development to production and end users.

The store is developed by the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and is designed around the "7S" concept: Sale, Spare parts, Service, Survey, Solution, Show, and School. These seven functions create a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates industry with lifestyle services.
The core feature of the 7S store is the sale of complete robot units. On display is a family of humanoid robots developed in Hubei, including models like "Laborer", "Voyager", "Shennong", and "Guangzi". Prices range from 7,999 yuan ($1,120) to over 700,000 yuan, covering more than 10 application scenarios, including industrial manufacturing, cultural tourism, elder care, and specialized operations.

All products in the store are sourced from the local Hubei supply chain, supported by research teams from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan University, with innovations from OVC enterprises. Customers can purchase robots directly in-store, customize features, and even apply for financial support, making the process as convenient as buying a car.
Beyond being a showroom, the 7S store also functions as a "school", offering operator training, maintenance technician certification, and youth educational courses, helping various groups engage with robotics.
"Through this diverse interaction, the 7S store aims to introduce humanoid robots to a wider audience, promote technological knowledge, and spark public interest in an intelligent future," said the store manager.
