CSRC Chairman Wu Qing strengthens financial ties during visits to France, Brazil
Wu Qing, chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, visited Paris and Rio de Janeiro from Monday to Thursday, meeting with local financial regulators and institutional investors to advance bilateral cooperation and promote the opportunities in China's capital market.
During the visit, Wu held bilateral meetings with leaders from the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, France's financial market regulator, and Brazil's Securities and Exchange Commission, respectively.
The discussions covered regulatory developments in the securities markets of France, the European Union and Brazil, as well as ways to deepen pragmatic bilateral cooperation in the capital market.
Wu also met with representatives from international institutional investors, as well as Chinese enterprises and financial institutions based in France and Brazil, briefing them on the outcomes of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighting investment opportunities in China's capital market and welcomed suggestions on furthering its high-level opening-up.
