Train X9015, loaded with 45 containers of automotive spare parts, departed from Xi'an International Port Station on Nov 13, marking Shaanxi's first China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and highway intermodal express.
This is the latest practice of China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co, which has adopted the "railway + highway" logistics general contracting model to reduce logistics costs for foreign trade enterprises, help Shaanxi and Central Asia economic and trade exchanges, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

After the train departs from Xi'an, it will travel to Kashgar North Station in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, then switch to road transportation, and exit from Erkeshtam Port. The journey is expected to arrive in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan, in 20 days, which is four to five days shorter than previous transportation methods.
The train carries goods from factories in Xi'an, loaded into 45-foot containers. To meet the requirements for adapting to the container, Xi'an Railway Bureau has opened assembly channels, optimized vehicle grouping and transportation routes, and completed car plate allocation in advance to ensure the efficient, smooth transportation of goods.
The operation of the first train has accumulated valuable operational experience for Shaanxi in building the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan intermodal channel, laying a solid foundation for subsequent large-scale, normalized operations.
Xi'an Railway Bureau will continue to deepen multi-party cooperation mechanisms, optimize logistics general contracting services, launch more efficient and cost-effective multimodal transport products, and provide transport capacity to support Shaanxi in becoming a center of inland reform and opening-up.
