Welcomed with a traditional water salute at Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport on December 4, China Eastern Air Holding Co completes the debut of the world's longest one-way commercial flight, connecting China's economic hub Shanghai with Argentina's capital Buenos Aires via a stopover in Auckland, New Zealand. China Eastern said the Shanghai–Buenos Aires route will operate regularly every Monday and Thursday from Shanghai, with return flights departing Buenos Aires every Tuesday and Friday.
