Qoros 3 Hatch prices announced, taking orders

The young international car brand, Qoros, announced the China pricing and specification levels on Wednesday for its second series production model, the Qoros 3 Hatch. The dynamic new hatchback is now available through nationwide dealers.

The five-star Euro NCAP rated hatchback is available with a choice of four trim levels with five variants; naturally-aspirated or turbo-charged 1.6-liter engines and six-speed manual or six-speed DCT automatic transmissions. Prices for the Qoros 3 Hatch begins from 119,900 yuan.

"This is another significant milestone in the history of our young brand," said Volker Steinwascher, Vice-Chairman of Qoros.

"As we announce prices and specifications and open the order books, we are confident that the Hatch is going to appeal to the trendy, active, independent individuals for whom it has been designed and developed," said Steinwascher.

"Generous equipment levels combined with a high level of design, safety, engineering and production quality means the Hatch excels when compared to its competitors. In fact, in many ways it is comparable to cars above its class," he continued.

Comprehensive equipment for all trim levels The entry-level Essence model boasts a comprehensive list of standard equipment, including Qoros’ innovative eight-inch touchscreen Multi Media Hub (Qoros MMH), 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning keyless start and electronic stability control (ESC), to name just a few. QorosQloud connectivity is among the additional options available to buyers. The Essence is powered by a highly-efficient naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter engine with six-speed manual transmission and offers the lowest priced access to Qoros ownership, starting from 119,900 yuan.

The Experience trim level adds a host of additional standard features. Most impressively, QorosQloud connectivity with 3G is included as standard, providing enhanced guidance, vehicle control and monitoring, and social networking services. Pioneered on the Qoros 3 Sedan, the brand’s connected services platform is accessed in the car via the Qoros MMH touchscreen, and can also be accessed from the user’s smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac via a dedicated website at www.qorosqloud.com or the QorosQloud apps for Apple iOS and Android.

Other additional features on the Experience model include a leather multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, tire pressure indicator and a rear parking camera, as well as an upgraded six-speaker 150-watt audio system. The driving experience is further enhanced by the highly-regarded six-speed DCT automatic transmission, fitted as standard to the 93 kW / 126 bhp 1.6-liter power on this trim level. The Experience model will start from 139,900 yuan.

The Experience Plus trim is fitted with a one-touch powered glass sunroof to provide a lighter, airier atmosphere, and uprated 17-inch ‘Hardspike’ alloy wheels for an even sportier look. The Experience Plus can be specified with the turbocharged engine, which comes as standard in top-of-the-line Elegance variants. This engine – mated to the six-speed DCT – produces 24 percent more power (115 kW / 156 bhp) than its naturally-aspirated equivalent and 35 percent more torque (210 Nm). The Qoros 3 Hatch Experience Plus starts from 149,900 yuan with prices for turbocharged engine variants starting from 157,900 yuan.

The flagship Elegance model is equipped with even more features that are rarely found on compact-class hatchbacks and truly embody the ultimate realization of Qoros’ ‘New Premium’ concept. These include ‘dusk-sensing’ auto on/off Bi-Xenon headlights, lightweight 18-inch ‘Gemini’ alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated and powered front seats (with two-setting memory for the driver), automatic folding door mirrors and rear camera with dynamic guideline and distance sensors. The Elegance model is priced from 171,900 yuan.
