HSBC Bank will roll out expanded QDII plan

HSBC Bank (China) Co Ltd will roll out today an expanded QDII (Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor) offering, allowing Chinese mainland citizens to gain investment opportunities in the overseas equity markets using yuan investment tools.

HSBC China's new QDII offering across eight cities in the mainland will include HSBC Global Investment Funds Chinese Equity and HSBC Global Themes Fund. The bank last month expanded the QDII to include stocks and structured equity products.
