Singer He Jie's latest job is to scout for new filmmaking talents.
She has joined a project initiated by a platform set up by Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited and Hunan TV for wanna be filmmakers to share their works.
She will soon release a list of possible subjects for short films. Web users can also submit their stories and the chosen one will be adapted into a short film by professionals, which will be screened on the website. The writer stands to win 10,000 yuan ($1,530) as a reward.
The website plans to invite more stars to join the project.
