SHANGHAI - President of the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville Congo) Denis Sassou-Nguesso arrived here on Wednesday.

This is the tenth visit of the president to Shanghai and he will head for Beijing to attend a summit between Chinese and African leaders from Nov. 4 to 5.

When meeting with Shanghai municipal leaders, Sassou-Nguesso said he believed the upcoming summit would be a complete success.

He said he was amazed at the rapid changes taking place in Shanghai and he hoped his country and China could further promote friendly exchanges in the fields of economics, politics and diplomacy.
