Hong Kong Handover Ceremony in 1997
Tung Chee-hwa (left) toasts guests after he was sworn in as the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on the Hong Kong Handover Ceremony on the night of June 30, 1997. The ceremony marked the restoration of Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to the People's Republic of China.
