By the end of 2006, Hong Kong-funded projects in Guangzhou amount to 12,677, involving a contractual investment of $40.5 billion.

Revenues of Hong Kong companies in Guangzhou total 177.1 billion yuan in 2006, accounting for 35.7 percent of that of all overseas-funded companies.

Till now, 101 Hong Kong companies set up business in Guangzhou, including seven listed firms.

Trade value doubled in the past decade, amounting to $9.8 billion. Hong Kong remains Guangzhou's second-largest exporting market.

After CEPA was implemented in 2004, $115 million worth of zero-tariff Hong Kong goods entered Guangzhou, saving $77.28 million in duty.
