Shanghai residents may get a 'world expo leave'

Shanghai residents are likely to receive a vacation leave to visit the 2012 World Expo, the Dongfang Daily reported Tuesday.

Shanghai's Political Consultative Committee made the suggestion of the vacation leave yesterday.

According to an msn.com.cn survey with 4,698 responding, over 84 percent said they support the idea, while around 6 percent said they are against it.

Over 6 percent of the survey participants said they will have to work even if the expo vacation became a reality and 3 percent said they do not care.
