Hong Kong lawmaker and Executive Council member Regina Ip told China Daily that the masterminds behind the city's escalating violence are in fact planning to intimidate voters so that they could have a landslide win in the upcoming District Council Election.
As Halloween fell on Oct 31, streets in Hong Kong were filled with festivity. In the meanwhile, masked protestors went out on the streets - they chanted slogans, blocked major roads and set fires, testing the tolerance of the so-called "anti-mask ban". Clues on social media show they had planned the action beforehand.
The largest chick hatch center in Southwest China opened for use in late April in Chongqing, from which around 240,000 chicks have been hatched every day.
