Govt to India: Ease visa rules

China would welcome a decision by India to ease visa policies for Chinese applicants.

Still under consideration by Indian authorities, the move would be conducive to bilateral exchanges and business relations, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The ministry made this announcement in response to a Times of India report last week saying that the Indian government appeared to be wavering on a proposal to ease visa restrictions.
