During the Spring Festival, Yang opera is an important source of entertainment for villagers. The performances usually offer lessons on topics such as good and evil and filial piety. Over the years, beliefs surrounding Yang opera′s ability to repel evil forces have faded away. But it still retains its role of moral teaching. |
