Low opinion of housing authority

Guangzhou's land and housing
authority fared worst in a public appraisal of government departments, reports
Information Times.
The Municipal Construction Committee registered the highest degree of public
satisfaction and also saw the biggest improvement in its rating compared to a
similar survey conducted last September, according to the Guangzhou Public
Opinion Research Centre.
The Park and Forest Bureau, the Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, the
Local Taxation Bureau, the Industrial and Commercial Bureau and the
Transportation Administration Committee also received better marks this year.
Some 30 per cent of the polled still complained of encountering the
"four-hards" in dealing with government departments - "hard to access, hard to
receive a smile, hard to get a pleasant reply and hard to get things done" -
down from 42 per cent last year.
Aside from the State Land, Resources and Housing Administration Bureau, the
Urban Planning Bureau and Guangzhou Customs also scored low marks, according to
the to survey.
