'Stupid girl' Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse is a "stupid girl" for trying to save her marriage, says her father.

The 'Rehab' singer is desperate to win back ex-convict Blake Fielder-Civil, but her dad Mitch Winehouse believes Amy would be happier and healthier if the pair split for good.

Mitch said: "Amy wants to resolve the situation. She's guilty of loving him, stupid girl! I'm not saying she's going back to him, she just wants to talk.

"I want her to get divorced. I want Blake and his family out of our lives. I just hope Amy can stay away from him. It's the only chance she has. Blake's a destructive influence on her life. And he's a liar. This is the man who openly admitted he introduced Amy to Class A drugs. Amy nearly ended up dead thanks to him. This is the man who kicked a barman so hard he needed his face rebuilt."

Blake - who is now believed to be living with 17-year-old rumoured girlfriend Francesca Morralee - filed for divorce after Amy allegedly had several romances during her holiday in the Caribbean last month.

Although Mitch doesn't condone Amy's infidelity, he insists Blake shouldn't be entitled to much of her fortune if they divorce because he almost ruined her career with his wild partying.

He added to Britain's Closer magazine: "I'm upset about this. It's not something you should be doing, especially when your husband's in prison. I'm sure Blake's deeply humiliated. Until recently, he's done his best to cling on to Amy.

"He's after ￡5 million. Does he think we're idiots? His mum's saying, 'He's had such a hard time, and now someone has to compensate and support him' - it'll be Amy!"

Last week, it was claimed Amy was ready to quit music in a bid to save her marriage.
