The trip takes you first to Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. It boasts a famous garden city and many historical sites, such as the provincial Museum, the Leisure Ford, the Archer Rostrum, the Memorial Temple to Lord Bao and the Tomb of Bao Zheng etc. Most visitors stop in Hefei en route to the famous Mt. Jiuhua or Mt. Huangshan.

Upon arriving at the sacred Mt. Jiuhuashan, you will soon be captivated by its peculiar rocks and stones, peaks hidden in wandering clouds, waterfalls and springs. Mt. Jiuhuashan is dotted with temples and misted with the smoke of burning joss sticks. It is a sacred place for Buddhist pilgrims. Noted for its beautiful scenery and favorable climate, the mountain is an ideal summer resort. With a unique appeal, Mt. Jiuhuashan has been established as one of the four most important Buddhist mountains in China and is well-known as "the most worshipped sacred place" and "the first mountain in Southeast China".

The coach at the foot of the Jiuhuashan Mountain can take you to Taiping Lake, which is situated between Mt. Jiuhuashan and Mt. Huangshan . Tourist resorts, amusement ground, shops and swimming pools are open to public, especially to holiday seekers. The famous Peach Blossom Pool is located at the Wan Village on the lakeside. And there is nothing more relaxing than drifting in a raft or boat or going angling on the lake.

The landscape of Mt. Huangshan is extremely beautiful. The towering peaks, grotesque rocks, drifting clouds, fantastic pines, hot springs and snow in winter have made Mt. Huangshan the most famous mountainous scenic area in China. There are 72 peaks, which have the names indicating the shapes they resemble. The 3 major peaks Lotus Flower, Bright Summit and Celestial Capital all stand over 1,800 m above sea level. Mt. Huangshan was listed by UNESCO among the World Cultural and Natural Heritages and the Global Geoparks.

Day 1

Arrive in Hefei by air or by train. Hefei City, situated in the central part of Anhui Province, is the capital of Anhui Province. With a history of 2,200 years, covering an area of 596 square kilometers and having a population of over 2 million. Hefei is one of the first garden cities in China and also one of the China’s outstanding tourist cities. The major attractions include the Anhui Provincial Museum, the Temple and Tomb of Bao Zheng, the former residence of Li Hongzhang, Museum of Anhui Celebrities etc.

Stay in Hefei for night.

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed southwards to Mount Jiuhua by bus (200 kilometers) via the Tongling Highway. Visit the scenic spots in Mount Jiuhua such as the Heaven Terrace, the Longevity Palace, and the Mortal Body Palace in the afternoon. enjoy the performance of Buddhist ceremonies in the temples like Zhiyuan Temple.

Day 3

After breakfast, bus ride to the Taiping Lake (choice available on a brief stay for touring the Lake).the Taiping Lake is the largest man-made lake in Anhui Province, surrounded by mountains with beautiful scenery, which is 80 kilometers long with a water area of 88 square kilometers and 10 meters deep on average, and also abounds in aquatic products free from pollution. After lunch take the Taiping Cableway to Mount Huangshan, the most famous mountain in China and also one of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage sites. Enjoy the scenic spots such as the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, West Sea Grand Canyon, Rock Flying From Afar and Bright Summit (1,860 meters above sea level). Stay at West Sea Hotel for night.

Day 4

In the morning tour Lion Peak, Refreshing Terrace and Beginning-to-believe Peak in the North Sea Scenic Area, and then come down from the peak area by Yungu cableway (The more energetic can go to visit Lotus Flower Peak and Heavenly Capital Peak in the front mountain and then come down by Yuping cableway). In the afternoon, take bus for Yixian County (50 kilometers) and tour the World Cultural Heritage Site – the ancient villages in Xidi and Hongcun Villages. Take a bus ride to Tunxi District, where the government of Huangshan City is located ( 55 kilometers) and stay at Tunxi fore night

Day 5

After Breakfast, tour the ancient Tunxi Street and buy some souvenir there. To enjoy Hui cuisine and famous brands of tea is a must, visiting Hu Kaiwen Inkstick Factory and Huashan Mysterious Cavern can be a choice for you. Then pick up and leave for Shanghai by air or Hangzhou by highway (over 200 kms, about 2.5 hours).
