Wendy Sukeer, deputy-president of Canada's Ryerson University, visited Zhongguancun Science Park on Jan 1. Zeng Xiaodong, director of business internationalization in Zhongguancun, received the visitors at the Zhongguancun Software Center.

Zeng introduced the current situation of the park, including its location, history, favorable policies and international cooperation. The two parties discussed issues such as the role that government transformation plays in science and technology innovations, technology transformation, the influence of female entrepreneurs, cross-culture communication in the international market, and international personnel training.

The visitors made four cooperation proposals.

They expect to sign a cooperation memorandum with the science park to establish a friendly cooperation relationship for international communications and cooperation.

They also hope to strengthen communication by introducing high-end technology and the industrialization of scientific and enological achievements, which would provide channels for the park to build up an international industrial cluster.

Both sides will also host international technical exchanges, female entrepreneurs seminars and other exchange activities. Ryerson University as well as overseas media would enhance global promotion of the park and expand its international influence.

In addition, the two sides will promote cooperative international personnel training, and organize more talent exchanges.

Doctor Sukeer, on behalf of Ryerson University, invited the management committee of the science park to pay a visit to Canada in the future.
